Very low key restaurant, they have a good selection for vegetarians/vegans such as fried tofu, hot and sour soup and Szechwan mixed vegetables. The ball of benevolence adds a nice touch to the experience.

After a long day who doesn't like some good Chinese take out? I called in an order of Walnut Shrimp and Orange Chicken. The lady who answered the phone was nice and had great customer service. I came by in 30 minutes and my food was ready, once again, really good service. The Walnut Shrimp was delicious! It was sweet but still savory. The orange chicken was good but it wasn't coated completely in the orange sauce. Personally, I like it that way.. but the chicken was a little too dry for me. Overall had a good experience with Chinese Village!

Shrimp a and lobster sauce heaven. My rating is on the dish only and not the establishment. This is my third time in the last 30 days ordering this dish. Shrimp is perfectly cooked. Not dry in the middle. I only order white rice, so I can't tell you if the fried rice is any good. The server was friendly and When I told her I was allergic to crab, she quickly replaced it with an egg roll. I thought that was good customer service. The price was around $8.70 and a filling lunch portion. Plates, glasses and silverware were clean. Not the best ambiance, it could use some decluttering, new flooring and cleaner areas. But man this dish keeps me coming back.

Ordered Kung-Pao chicken. Service was friendly and the to-go order was ready within 10 minutes.
Unless Chinese food is prepared very differently than the same dishes you'd get from virtually any similar restaurant in southern CA, I cannot recommend eating here. There was no heat and no flavor whatsoever, and there wasn't a single red pepper which is the signature ingredient of any Kung-Pao dish. I won't eat here again. But then again....I'm somewhat new to the area and maybe Chinese food in Reno is just exceptionally bland and that's the way every restaurant prepares it. -

This is our go-to place for Chinese to go. Everything that we've tried there so far (from the standards like orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, etc to explorations into alternatives like shrimp with lobster sauce, and scallops with black bean sauce) has been good. And just as important, it's extremely predictable and consistent. There's never a discussion of "did they hire a new cook?"
It's been surprisingly hard to find a good hot and sour soup in Reno, but I am always thrilled with theirs. We also always make sure to get enough crab rangoon, because there will inevitably be a surprisingly physical showdown for the remaining ones if there aren't enough.
I'll admit that it has been a little hit and miss with the delivery, so we always just go and pick it up since it's really not that far.
